9600xt or 9700pro

Looking to get a new video card, which one should I get?

I've had both. My 9700 pro is modded. My 9600xt runs much cooler, but the 9700pro is a better performer! Both good cards, but I am now a firm NVIDIA fan because of one reason-> 6800GT!! Cannot do better for the $$

This is an easy question a 9700Pro outperforms a 9600XT in every respect. of those 2 cards a 9700Pro all the way, altho their are quite a few better options out there now.

Just found some benchies comparing the two LInky. It looks to be about 8-10fps difference

Looking at the first chart:

It doesn't sound like that much a difference when you're looking at 20-30FPS, but when you look at the percentage increase, it's 46% better. That sounds more impressive

Then again, that's just one benchmark. Look for the ones that are from the games you actually play. Some games might have a huge difference, some barely any.
