9600Pro Temp Monitoring

Hi,

I've got a PowerColor 9600 Pro, and i'm trying to find out what temperature it's running at. I've got the lastest versions of RivaTuner and ATiTool, but neither lists temperature. Do i have to perform some 1337 hacking or what?

Is the temp sensor in the GPU itself or added afterwards by the gfx card manufacturer (i.e PowerColor)? I know the gigabyte 9600Pro supports temp monitoring so if it's in the GPU then my 9600Pro would surely support it then?

Thanks

I dont know about a minitor on that gpu, but run the card so it will get hot and then touch it, carefully if it is too hot to hold your finger on it for a few seconds then it is prolly hot, sorry that all I got

Only 9600XT has a temperature sensor. Pro does not.

I have also heard that some XT's didnt have the sensor, earlier ones but I havent seen any evidence to support it. Havent looked either.
