I just got my 9600pro retail from ATI and it's a green card, not the red one.
It has Samsung DDRAM on it.
It shows 394/296.
It is a pro or EZ-pro?
How high can I OC it?

All the BB ATI retail cards are green. They should have made them red -- the red pcb?s look a lot nicer. Pro?s are clocked 400/300 (basically your 394/296).

Retail ATI 9600pro?s come with the good Samsung 2.8ns ram. That 9600pro should overclock to about 500/350.

Odd, I wonder if mine is UNDERCLOCKED by the driver? It shows 202.10Mhz memory and 398.02mhz clock. I wonder if I should try to tweak it.

What is an EZ Pro?

9600 ? ? ? ? 325/200
9600 pro EZ ? ? 400/200
9600 pro ? ? ? ? 400/300
9600pro ?ultimate? ? 400/337

Some special edition ? ?ultimate? ? clock the memory a little faster than the 300 stock but they come with the same Samsung 2.8 memory as the regular pro?s.

Pro EZ is basically an overclocked regular 9600. The cores run 400mhz so easily some manufactures make a version clocked 400/200 with the same -4ns as the 9600.

i really dig the ati green myself, at least if it is the same as the firegl cards. it is nice and bright, not like a normal green pcb.
