9600gt sli vs 8800gt sli questions

300 and change for one, is 100bucks more really all that ? i already know shoretest 88 is 8.1" and i was wondering what is the shortest 9600

?

$300 for SLI 9600GTs is a pretty great deal, faster than an HD 3870X2 for much less money. 8800GT SLI is faster but not worth the extra $100...

When talking about single-card however... I still think the 8800GT is worth paying a little more for (in any case it's only 50 more in the worst case).
 
Yeah I got my EVGA 8800gt for about 215 shipped from one of Andy's Deals, so a single card 8800 GT is great. The 9600 GT in SLi for 100 bucks less would be my decision for a SLI system since the EVGA versions are going for pretty good prices.
