I know the 88gt is the faster card but I do want to save some money so is the 96gt the card to get? I guess I can throw in the 3870 which is a bit faster then the 96gt. Which would you buy?

Today the 8800GT @ <$200 is the best deal.

Tomorrow, who knows?

Personally I'm waiting until the 9800 series launches, either I will get one of them or pick up an 8800 even cheaper.

wait until you can no longer play your games and still enjoy them. If you get 40 fps on your games currently I wouldn't get a new card. Unless you have a bunch of money.

wow...I have a 7600gt and I play wic & crysis on low. So , I even thought about upgrading to a 8800gt. I figure the 8800gt purchase is about what I want and not what i really need.
