9600 vs. 9600pro?

I am looking for a fanless video card for my SFF rig. I can't find any fanless 9600pro, but only 9600 on newegg.

What's the main diff between 9600 non-pro and 9600 pro?

Basically I want to play DVD, divx, HD in TS format, and WMV.

Why do you want fanless? Is your powersupply fanless? I really doubt you'll be able to hear the fan.. None of those cards support HD hardware support or anything of the sort, it will all depend on the CPU's power and I doubt you have a CPU that is fanless as well.

The 9600 is just a less powerful card compared to the 9600 Pro. If you're not going to game, then a 9600 is fine.

Also, there are some vid cards out there with a huge heat sink that covers the top and bottom without a fan. You might want to look for one of those. I think they make a 9600 Pro or a 9800 Pro with one like that I believe, but the 9600 is a good cheap solution for you too as long as you're not planning on doing much for gaming.

I am looking for a video card for SD11G5 Pentium-M SFF box. It will only have one fan in the box, so I want to reduce as much noise source as possible. I am not a die hard gamer. I am more into video and want to get good video playback.

The ATI All in Wonder 2006 is based on the Radeon 9600 and is fanless.

It's going to be $99 AR in tomorrow's Circuit City flyer ($50 + $30 rebates and $20 instant savings).

I'd get a cheapo videocard or at least a test video card and see if you can play HD, because I don't believe a pentium M is fast enough to play HD.. How fast is it?
