I'm lookin at getting a new video card and I'm wondering if the ultra would be worth the extra money. I want to spend between $150 - $180.

They are all dropping right now anyways. If you were willing to spend $180, why not spend $10 more than get a 9700 128(non-pro).

He is correct-get yourself a 9700 non pro preferably from newegg.com (the sapphire) with the red pcb and samsung 2.8 ns ram (flash the bios to a retail and off you go with a 9700pro).

The 9700 will be quite a lot better than the 9600Pro or ultra or any other incarnation thereof, and will rule even more if you overclock it a bit.

If you want to overclock, the PowerColor 9600pro ??Ultra?? ($175) comes with 2.8ns Samsung ram that can make it to about 350mhz from tghe stock 300.

If you don?t plan on overclocking the Sapphire 9600pro is cheaper ($155) and comes with 3.3ns ram that really doesn?t overclock well at all.
