9600 pro vs 9500 pro (for P4P800-DX board)

Hi,

Does the 9600 pro have any advantages over the 9500 pro ?

I know the 9500 is faster but before buying it, i wanted to see if there was an advantage to getting the 9600pro. My main aim is to get a decent card for now and then upgrade in a year or so to something a bit more powerful.


I'll be teaming this up with a Asus P4P800-DX so heard there are some stability issues involving the 9500 pro with card versions < 30. Any one succefully using a 9500 with this asus board ?

The only advantage the 9600 has over the 9500 (I think) is that the 9600 is more easily overclockable. the 9600 still only renders 4 pipelines where the 9500 does 8 (-Pro is assumed for both cards). I can't give you any insight into the board compatibility though.
