I have an interesting problem with my 9600 Pro, which I've had about a month. Every once in a while, the colors and brightness will 'switch' all of a sudden during gameplay. For instance...I'll be playing NHL 2004, and the ice looks redder as play goes on, instead of more worn down...color issues, with increased brightness. Then, all of a sudden (with no respect to length of time played...I've gone days with the slight red tint on that texture), it will switch back to proper color and brightness. Then, later on, it'll switch back. I've seen it switch back and forth 10 minutes apart during a single game of Madden 2003. 2D color is not affected. What could be causing this? No other problems are present...the card is stable and runs well. I never had this problem with the same system with a GF3ti200.

Well, one thing you can check is your VGA cable. See if its in properly and not at all loose. This cable being loose can cause one or more of the three guns in your CRT not to fire causing an absense of one or more 3 primary colors.

Keys could be right, it might be a monitor issue.

You could try reinstalling drivers and if possible try a different monitor.

Thanks. I tried checking the monitor cables, and they're fine. Remember that it only happens during 3D, not during regular 2D office work. It's been doing it less recently, but still every once in a while. Any other suggestions
