I loved that line!

On topic,
The 9600XT has 500MHz core and 600MHz DDR Memory.
The 9600Pro has 400MHz core and 600MHz DDR Memory.

Both have 4 Pixelpipes, 2 Vertex Shaders and a 128-bit memory interface.

Get the XT. And yeah, is there a memory difference between them (128MB/256MB) that you might have overlooked? You can take the one with more memory and hope the core hits 500MHz.

Quick question: 9600XTs come with either DDR/DDR2 memory. Is there any noticeable difference (performance/overclockability)? I know DDR2 hits higher clocks atleast in the desktop world.

True, but if it's the same price, might as well grab more memory. Hitting 500MHz core on a 9600 Pro shouldn't be too difficult (A friend runs his at ~480).
