what do u suggest a driver to use to give this videocard the best performance/compatibility on older games & new ones like farcry and doom3?

Either ATI's official Catalyst drivers or the Omega ATI drivers. ATI drivers are really a no brainer, using the latest drivers is the best solution in 99% of cases. 🙂
