960 Pro firmware question

Hey all,
I'm about to pull the trigger and buy all the hardware I need for a new rig.
I was all set to get the 960 Pro, but a few weeks ago, a firmware update came out
that is causing a lot of headaches for people. Now I'm a little nervous about buying
the 960pro, in case it ships with the latest firmware =\

Does anyone know if there's been a fix for the freezing issue caused by the update?
I just don't want to throw $280-300 at a drive that may ship with a craptastic firmware.

Buy from Amazon they have you covered!

Last time I bought a EVGA GTX 1070 from the with the heating issue they refunded me some for all the hassle. So I ended up paying only $300 to $320 for the card total.

I have the 960 Pro with the latest firmware-2B6QCXP7--with no problems.

The horribly broken one is with 3B6QCXP7 that was pulled from update page. I'd stay away from 960 Pro until they solve this mess.
