I've ordered a couple of these actually. I didn't want to post a Hot Deal yet though cuz I figured I should be a good test rat. I called them up before ordering them and asked if they'd work on my Abit BH6. He said they should although they've "had problems" with Abit boards and this RAM. So I asked him if it'd work with the BX chipset and he said yes. He told me I should order the PC100 version however, not the PC133... I ordered the PC133 anyway though cuz it shouldn't have a problem running at a lower clock speed... right??? He said that ordering the PC100 version would save me headache's, but I'm all ready running 2x 128 Kingston PC133 @ 100MHz. I wouldn't think that the quality of the RAM would mean it can't run LOWER than the rated speed... Any ideas? But if this stuff works, definately the hottest deal around for BX owners...

That ram is crap. Generic PCB's are not good. They overheat and ram does not work.

You get what you paid for. You will have unknown lockups and blue screens after a while.

About a year ago I purchased some NEC ram on a generic PCB board. It failed after a month. I sent it back for another one. Then the 2nd one failed too. Another replacement was sent. That one also died after a while. The 3rd time I sent it back they lost the package or so they say. So I collected my insurance and bought BRAND NAME ram on a brand name PCB Board. Like APACER RAM(Not with IBM chips), Crucial, PNY.

Get APACER(not with IBM chips) or better yet buy it from Crucial.

Dangit, that sucks! I ordered two, but only bought one with a CC. The other I opted for Check/MO. I figured I'd do it that way to lock in the good prices, but give me time to try the RAM. Guess I'll be counting my losses and forget about the second stick :) Thanx for the info!

Because I all ready have 384MB in my system and all my slots are full... But I figure if I can get a 256 to replace one or two of the 128's for REALLY cheap I might as well... That's why :)

When I sold my KA7 in July and switched back to my BH6, the best move I made was selling my 2x 128's of Mushkin rev.2 stuff. Don't need it. And with the money from those two sticks I was able to get 2 sticks of lesser quality (although still good Kingston stuff) as well as an 8-port switch. So it's not like I *need* the RAM I guess, just that if it's that cheap, it can't hurt ;) Or maybe it can :) But yeah, I was just at Crucial's site and am getting trigger happy for that CAS2 PC133 256MB they've got going over there... We shall see :D

i've got a celeron366 system at home that desperately needs a ram upgrade because it's 128MB aren't pulling for it anymore- ftp, seti, RC5 are always running
and when i used the computer at least 15 tasks are running at the same time.
granted, a processor upgrade would help as well, but when i had 256MB ram she ran just fine.

once i can get 128MB stick for $50 shipped, i'll jump on the ram bandwagon.
