955df vs. 900nf???

After seeing all the positive comments I'm thinking about buying one of these monitors sight unseen!

What's the difference between the 2 models? Cost doesn't seem to be that much difference but I have no need for the super high resolution.

The warranty says 1st year on site and carry/ship next 2 years. Sounds too good to be true. Anyone have any experience with their warranty?

These monitors looking better all the time...must be a catch.

955DF - Flat screen, not so good refresh rate, shadow mask

900NF - Flat screen, very good refresh rate, excellent colour, aperture grille

With aperture grille monitors, you get those 2 (17"-19&quot😉 or 3 (21&quot😉 faint grey lines across the monitor. But I can barely see mine (I own 700NF). Both are great monitors, but I prefer the 900NF.
 
The 955DF is the entry level 19" flatsreen (DynaFlat series) the 900NF is the higher end 19" flatscreen (NaturalFlat series).

I also much prefer AG to SM, so I'd take the 900NF no question asked, but the 955DF is probably quite good to.
 
dude. Why are you comparing the two. Df is samsungs, "value" model" and NF is their "higher end" models.

Think of the DF as the porsch boxter and the NF as teh Porsch 911. One is the big brother of the other, not meant to compete with each other. If u got the $$, go witht he higher end (NF or 911), if not, get the lower end (DF or boxter).
 
Get the 900NF and you will see that myself and all the people in this thread who voted for this monitor were not strining you along. You need to have one to appreciate the true excellence it holds. Samsung has supplied the Mistubishi Diamondtron tube with very good electronics which give it ultimate picture quality and fine detail at high resolutions.
