9550 Extreme Edition on an Epox4g4a+ mobo

hi guys. need your help. i'm planning on buying a Gecube 9550 exreme edition but i'm worried that it may not work on my old Epox 4g4a+ mobo. A friend told me that some of these cards does not work with a 4x(1.5 volts) AGP mobo. Because the last time he bought his Radeon9600, it failed him when he slapped it on a 4xAGP mobo. but when he had it replaced with a Sapphire, it worked.

Please help. wanted to go back to playing some games though i'm not much into gaming. thanks.

All the Radeons based on the R3X0 core, are supposed to work on AGP 4x/8x, if it doesn't work probably because of a cheaper PCB or manufacturer.
