hello i just bought this amd 950 mhz anthlon slot A and the board i have is an ASUS K7M-RM and i flashed the bios to date ,anyway im running a probe and it cannot read the processor temperaturebut it reads the MB temp which is now 38c/100F and flucuates to 37c/98f my vcore is reading at 1.8 everything else says ok now how can i get it to monitor my cpu? what symptoms should i be looking for overheating processor ? please help me i bought this chip barebones on an auction and dont have a clue .. thank you for your view and reply ,have a nice day

 
i also forgot to mention the damn thing beeps continous and i had to pull the pc speaker wire off cuz it was drivin me crazy what can be the cause of that?
 
You need a separate cable to monitor cpu temp. Read the manual. The beeping is a hardware alarm. Disable hardware monitoring in BIOS.
