Are Sapphire cards the only ones that are overclockable?
I understand that straight ATI cards have their BIOS locked or something like that.

I believe so, the only thing you can do to ATI cards is physically mod them into FireGL's. Very risky that mod though...

my 9500 pro does 15557 in 3dmark 01 at 310/310,..

I think im stuck right there though

Saphire cards are locked too. Though there have been some reports on Saphire 9700 non-Pro's that were un-locked. My 9500>9700 hack was successful too, though my 3.3ns infineon ram peggs out at 300MHz before artifacting. Had my core up to 360MHz no problems. I just keep mine at 330/295.
