hey anybody know how well the 9500s on ebay softmod? i don't really want to take the risk, but with certain sites out of stock, and others jumping like 30 dollars every other day...i might just have to, so i would like to know who well it softmodded for others.

good luck with it, i am not sure what the success rate is for those, you might just want to pay the extra and get the 9700 np

heh i'm thinking of shelling out the extra money... but i must say - im not that big of a gamer, i sorta like just getting "something for nothing" i dont know, but allstarshop got some really erratic pricing. one day its at 139 (was gonna buy it then, but then it was at 2 and i figured id do it next morning) then jumped to 155, then to 189, it droped to 159 after a few days, then back to 189 now...wtcrack?

I wouldn't take the gamble, I'd get the 9700np. If you're going to try the softmod though, try with one you got from a retailer..On ebay you're probably going to end up with one that somebody bought, couldn't softmod, and is now trying to sell. I would imagine the success rate of an ebay 9500 np softmod is pretty low.

thats pretty much what i was assuming, but then certain ebay sellers have grips of them, so unless they bought them all and tested it, i would assume that they were just trying to make money because they realized that 9500s could become pretty popular since they have the ability to softmod...but the prices seem pretty low, with no jumps so i'm not sure, i would assume they would jump along with all the retailers.
