im experiencing problems running UT2003 at 1280x1024 when set at this resolution after a few minutes of gameplay system will spontaneously reboot no error no lockups just reboots. im currently running Cat 3.1 drivers, XP pro, DX9 all XP and UT updates also currently set open GL and Direct3D to best performance (note: i have used Cat 3.2 with same results and also reinstalled UT2003)
what i have done:
disabled fast writes in bios, bumped AGP voltage +2 also i am currently using rivatuner to start system with 4x AGP set at startup (system would reboot if it was set at 8x no matter what setting) im just kinda stummped at this point as to what i could try next im thinking its possibly the board and the VIA chipset ive read tons of forums stating there was an incompatiblity with the KT400 chipset. but i have no idea any help or tips would be appreciated
System:
XP Pro (All updates fresh install)
gigabyte GA-7VAXP (latest bios)
1900XP ( not overclocked)
Volcano 10+
512 DDR 400 KingMax (default settings in bios)
RaidMax 500W PS
2 Seagate 80 Gigs 7200 RPM
1 Maxtor 40 Gig 7200 RPM
Winfast XP Deluxe TV Tuner
DVD and CDRW
