first off let me give you my specs then ill ask the question

Gigabyte GA-7VAXP
1900+ XP
512 DDR 400Mhz
500 Watt Enermax PS
9500 Pro from Sapphire
Seagate Barricuda 7200

Latest Drivers 3.2 from ATI
Direct X 9
Rienstalled XP with all updates applied

what happens is that everytime i try to use the card at 8X AGP it either locks up while playing any games (MOHAA, UT2003,CaslteWolf,Unreal2) or i experience green colors and what seems like ghosting on the screen i have also updated to latest bios for motherboard and still the same thing occurs it has worked fine in the past but these last few days it starting acting wierd i have since switched back to 4X AGP and everything works flawlessly even at 1280x1024

any help would be great

Don't worry, there is no performance gain at all from going to AGP 8x, especially on a 9500 Pro.

Just use 4x.

No clue... Maybe check BIOS settings to make sure nothing has been set that might make it unstable?

I have heard that just 8x agp is unstable try just doing 4x that should help.
