if i right click my desktop, go to properties, settings, advanced, i have a tab there that says ATI Clock Rate. i click on the tab and i have the ability to change the core and memory clock rates. presently the core is at 276.75 and the memory is at 270. there is also an option to "Sync rates" (presently unchecked).
question:
here is what the receipt says:
ATI RADEON 9500 PRO 128MB DDR DVI AGP
Specifications:
Chipset:9500 PRO Visual Processing Unit
Engine clock: 275 MHz
Memory:128MB of double data rate SDRAM
Memory speed: 540 MHz
Eight parallel rendering pipelines
Four parallel geometry engines
128-bit DDR memory interface
BUS: AGP 8X support
i have read that people overclock these cards without too much drama, but whenever i adjust the core/memory clock rate sliders the card locks up after about 15 seconds.
why can i not up the settings? i have read where people have gone 300/350 without too much fuss.
