Hello All,

I haven't posted here for quite a while...but I was thinking of upgrading my Gf2 cards and the 9500 Pro looked like a pretty good "bang 4 the buck" 'kind of card. While the price is good, I might just have to wait and save my pennys for a few steps higher. Here is a link that I think quite a lot of you might be interested in looking at. Let me know what you think. I'm not familiar with this other site but it looks like they did a pretty good job on the testing.

Please post your thoughts on the findings...I'm interested and like I said trying to find the "best" price vs performance out there. BUT I still would like to play Doom III when it ships this fall(i hope)!!!

Thanks for looking!

MC

1) There have been numerous threads on the Doom3 benchmarks from Hardocp, Anandtech and Toms Hardware. Try searching "doom" in both general hardware and video forums.

2) The 9500 is a nice card

3) It's generally a bad idea to buy a card to play a game which isn't released yet. It's always better to wait.

Some good points from merlocka there, but from what we can tell from the pre-release version of doom3, its safe to say that it (9500pro) should be able to play it reasonably well, just dont expect high detail and high res`s.
