9500 nonpro overclock . . . decent 3dmark2001se results?

I just got one of those 128mb 9500 np with the L-shaped memory and softmodded it to a 9700 . . . the mod worked and i got a 3dmark2001se score of 11045 (non-oc gpu) and 12094(oc gpu). Are those decent results?

I used rivatuner for the overclock . . would the results be any different with the warp11 bios? Oh yeah forgot . . . I have a Dim. 4550 2.4 ghz 533 FSB with 512 pc2700 crucial ram

I think your score is way low, especially for a sucessful mod. I don't have an Intel rig, but I will throw my score up for comparison

AMD XP1700+@2000mhz (12x166)
Epox 8K3A
768mb PC2100 DDR @2700 speed
Radeon 9500NP (failed mod)
Win XP

thanks a lot for your help . . . im pretty sure the patch is working because the chipset says "9700" when i right-click properties and go to the adapter tab in windows . . . but why would it be so low as you guys say?

the way to tell if your mod worked is to run test 5 ( fill rate test) your multi fill rate score should be over 2000 if it is in the 1500 range or lower, your mod did not work.

yeah i checked . . . its in the 2300 range so im pretty sure the softmod worked. . . my guess is that my fsb could be the bottleneck

You really should be getting a higher 2001 score.

XP2100/KT333/512MB/Ti4200 (300/600) = 12049 for me. With a "9700" you should be destroying that.

I agree... my "XP3200", 1GB of RAM, Ti4200 @ 325/650 is right around 14,500 with all settings at default... sounds like maybe your mod failed as well...

ok guys . . . so finally figured this crap out . . . i didnt have agp texture acceleration enabled . . . after i downloaded some program off intel that enables agp on my mobo . . . i went up to about 13299 on 3dmark2k1se with mild overclocking (297/290) . . .

but anyways . . . thanks for letting me know something was messed up . . .

for the people that have done this mod . . . how much overclock has everyone got with just stock cooling on the card?

Well...here is my system:

P4 2.8 GHz w/ 800 MHz FSB using an MSI 865PE NEO2-LS, 512 mb Corsair Ram, using the 9500 NP from Sapphire (the one on special from Newegg).

No overclocking:

Base system, no mod: 11667
Base system, w/ mod: 14400

Need to do some OCing and that should improve the score even more.
