i am aware of no benchies with the 5600 non ultra. i would think the 9500 would be about even with the 5600, but i am not sure.

I didn't look too long but here is one review of the 5600 non pro 256mb card

It is going up against a 9500PRO 128mb and a g4ti4200.

You can probably extrapolate data from another source about the performance of a 9500 non pro.

Try to get a Sapphire 9500 128Mb non-pro, then softmod it to
9700. It's as easy as updating a driver.
Nothing beats that in price/performance

i tried to to the softmod, checkerboard madness :(

actually, a lot of 'sucessful' mods do have checkerboards, but they are very faint (there was a program to check for them on rage3d board).

I have to say, try it out but don't buy a 9500NP on the premise that it can be modded.

The 9500 is about as fast as a 4200--overall, a little slower in plain rendering, much faster with AA/AF. So find a review comparing a 5600 to a 4200 (GamePC? Tech-Report? Xbitlabs? Digit-Life? Darkcrow.co.kr?) and you should be able to guess at how a 9500 would compare.

Again, as someone else already linked, Hardware.fr should have direct numbers.
