9500->9700 Problem...can anything be done?

Hey guys,

I just bought a 9500 with the L shaped memory, and tried to softmod it with the Cat 3.7 drivers and it didn't work...so then I used the Cat3.6 and I was able to softmod it...I don't have a broadband connection, or any internet connection for that matter at my house untill tomorrow, so I can't really do many tests since I just built the computer and it's pretty much bare....But I did test it playing Rainbow Six....and when I played with the softmod the card produced a chess-board on half the screen...without the softmod the graphics were fine...so what does this mean?

can anything help this? or does that mean that my card won't softmod?

I'm running this on a IS7 with a 2.4C running at 3.0G with Corsair Xsomething 3200 ram...

Your one of the unlucky ones sorry man you just got unlucky that particular problem is a well known "Softmod fail warning" Try these instead my friend its pretty much self explanatory and its dummy proof plus they kick the cat's ass....Omega Power

BTW in the install of this driver it asks what you want to do 9500-->9500pro 9500pro--->9700 or 9700--->9700pro and so forth no fancy smacy crap it does all the work.
