That isn't totally unbelievable. Over at amdzone.com i've heard of people doing that. Although seems a little harder with a 950, but more reasonable with a 1 gig and up.
i live in MI and have pumped cold air in from the out side im talking about -3 air... cooled my cpu down to 13C and the highest i could run stable was 1289
it seem`s that the 300mgz oc mark is perty hard to reach
the p4 is way overrated. the FSB isnt as fast as it says because its 4 100mhz buslines. also, its WAY too expensive. amd is the way to go, so it seems.
logic would dictate that the longer they make the chips the more refined and the less errors there would be in the chip. That is why my duron 650 week 32 goes up to 950 max and my uncles week 51 goes up to 1050 mhz.. it could also be that amd is holding off on higher speed grades above 1.2 because they can make enough money off of the 1.2 and under that they don't need a 1.3-1.6 and as a result they are pushing the higher speed grade chips off as 900-1.2ghz and don't say they wouldn't do this because i have an athlon 600 with a 750 core at my uncles house right now to prove it to you
He could have easily reached that. All he has to do is watercool his cpu. And as for the sisoft screenshot, you dont have to be a hacker, he could of just edited the picture very easily.
