945 ds3 and e6300

My brother inlaw ordered his new setup from newegg. E6300, 2 gig 667, x1950pro 512, antec 650 watt, 74 gig raptor. I told him to get the 965 ds3, somehow he ordered the 945ds3. He doesnt oc just uses as is.

How is the performance with the 945 chipset? Is it a majour differance between the two? He doesnt want to return and wait the time it will take, thanx for the help!
 
I don't think it's going to be anything major. I think the thing that'd be most affected would be the o/c, but since it doesn't apply, I don't think it'll really matter too much.
