Is this something that you think will forsure be built for the next version of the x2's comming out with DDR2? Being able to upgrade the the next version of x2 would definitly sway me towards the MB if it turns out that there will be companies who build these upgrade boards for the 939Dual-SATA.

thanks,

I'd say, based on ASRock's past motherboards and upgrade cards, that it's a pretty sure thing it'll be produced. They've made upgrade cards for 754 and 939 for their older boards, so I see no reason why they wouldn't do the M2 one as they say they will. Hopefully they're as inexpensive ($~30) as the older ones. 🙂

It's a curious feature on that mobo, but I wonder how well it'll work and whether there would be a performance issue running DDR instead of DDR2? Time will tell.

What makes me want this mobo is the AGP/PCI-e combo.

The upgrade card will almost certainly have its own (DDR2) RAM slots; that's how it's been for all their cards in the past.

Cool. Might be the ultimate mobo then.
