So I need a new 939 motherboard, but the only brands that newegg and other vendors carry now are Foxconn and Jetway. Are they reliable? or there's a store that I didn't know about?

Thanks,

I've used several very good Foxconn boards, they tend to be limited in the OC department but very stable for stock use.

I have no experience with Jetway boards.

Biostar NF4 Ultra-A9A $50
x16 PCI-E graphics slot

MSI K8T Neo2-F $50
AGP 8x graphics slot

Asus A8V-MX $80
AGP 8x (no idea about this vendor)

Also, check eBay, you can often find new/sealed components for very reasonable prices there. Just make sure you pay by credit card at PayPal so you have extra protection in case something goes sour.

I have an asus a8n32-sli deluxe, and highly suggest it if you can find it. I bought mine two years ago. But through two rma's (I work it kinda hard...) I now have a brand-new one!

another good place to look is right here in the anandtech forums in the for sale\trade section. you can still get some good boards from there

I liked that board, but it didn't like my SCSI setup.

Switch to MSI K8N Neo4 Plat SLI and it's a decent board.

Wow, thanks everyone and especially NXIL. I think I will get the Tyan mobo. As for future proofing, how is Foxconn and and Jetway quality incase the Tyan mobo went south? Also, this is the my first time using a Tyan mobo, how's its quality? I heard of it more than Foxconn and Jetway, but that's all.

The major boards from a few years ago have all pretty much vanished. You can probably get some good deals on ebay though. I'll be putting my old DFI SLI-DR up there in a few weeks, once I get some time.

hehehe, i had a client bring in a PC with a 939 CPU on a BTX MB in a BTX Case (obviously).

try finding one of those ANYWHERE. i had to get him a new MB and CPU, no 939 MB available in BTX. only intel seems to make BTX Boards anymore.
