939 Mobo without SLI

OK, I've been up and down the internet searching for the best Socket 939 MOBO without the SLI slots. I will not be utililizing two video cards and this is the reason for opting out on a SLI board. I guess what I'm asking is what would be the best board to build off of for online gaming? via chipset or nvidia? I do have a cable modem. and the vid card i'm looking to get would be the ati800gto or the 6800gt.

There are quite a few choices. I went with an A8N-E as a single PCI-E X16 board (no SLI) and I have been loving it so far... Not a single problem to date.

It's a very good board for the $ IMO... It's nVidia Nforce4 Ultra (which I would recommend as your 939 chipset of choice)

Practically any board on the nForce4 chipset would be great... My personal favourites are the MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum and the EPoX EP-9NPA+ Ultra...

As for the graphics card, I would pick a GeForce 6800GS over a regular Radeon X800GTO, but not when it's a Sapphire Radeon X800GTO²... After unlocking, it will be a tad faster than an overclocked GS, but not by much...

If you don't plan on upgrading in a while, and fancy SM3.0 (which you should by now), best is to take the 6800GS after all...
