Was wondering if anyone is aware of fans for the AMD 939's yet? Just curious... I got my MSI Neo2 Platinum & 3500 ordered but was looking around and haven't seen anything about fans (at least at the bigger sales sites).

Anyone have any suggestions or know when there's going to be some out there? :)

Cheers!

First of all.. Do you listen to nightwish? ^^

Secondly. I think the Zalman 7000-alcu or whatever its called fits in the 939 socket.

fans? you mean fans for the heatsinks? or heatsinks and fans for the cpu? any socket 940 hsf will do. also, if you look at newegg, you will find that many fans are compatible with more then a few sockets. if you have $85-90 to kill, i recommend you get the thermalright xp-120 heatsink and the panaflow L1 120mm fan. its the best air cooling for the cpu you can get. if you dont have that type of money, just go for a zalman one.

Yes, fan & heatsink... sorry, power had went out as I was started to post & was attempting to finish it to get shutdown, so haste got in the way. heh $90 is a bit more than I was looking at but I'll take a look at both you listed. :)

Thanks for the help.

Actually it's from Megadeth / Risk. :) Liked the words.

Thanks for the info on the Zalman, will take a look at that.

Thanks for the welcome! :) I use to be registered but hadn't posted in a long, long time... Probably removed for inactivity or something, same e-mail.

Any Athlon64 compatible heatsink should work (Socket 754, 939, 940). I'll vote for the Zalman, it keeps my P4 chilled sufficiently.

for variety's sake (not to diss the zalman)...

the thermalright's have always done fine by me.

my msi neo2 and slk-948u are currently impatiently awaiting my 3500+
