I was googled for cheap price and I found some but I am curious about ADA4800CDBOX Toledo Core any good?

No they dont, they use something like 70W at full load at full clock and way way less in idle at 1GHz (something like 20W or so)...

You should try doing some research, before posting things like that: AMD Power & Thermal data sheet.

You should know what you are talking about before posting at all. Thermal design power IS NOT power draw. That TDP is also the same as the FX 60, which draws CONSIDERABLY more power than the X2 4800+.

I believe the energy effiecient would warrant more of an overclock, hence the reason he asked. no need to bicker...

I have no reference for data on actual power draw, but Furen is right in that TDP isn't power draw. (But it definitely gives an idea) I believe Xbitlabs have a special equipment that measures CPU power draw and they use it for CPU reviews.

Besides, between the two companies, they don't even use the same definition of TDP.

And they change TDP "definition" between families (ie. Pentium D vs Core 2; X2 vs Turion), lol.

So, you're worried most about energy efficiency? In that case, keep your 3500. The X2 4800's use 110 watts when running at 2.4 Ghz, and use 46.6 watts, when running at 1.0 Ghz. Your single-core 2.2 Ghz E6 uses 67.0 watts at 2.2 Ghz, and 36.1 watts at 1.0 Ghz.

No I am not worried about it but I am curious because I read somewhere that new cpu have energy efficent like Toledo core 4800+

A64 X2 4800+ just came in today and I looked at the cpu it says "CCBWE 0612CPMW" and "ADA4800DAA6CD" anything that I should know?
