I ordered my Dell 9300 with 512mb mem as suggested since Dell memory is expensive. I'm ready to upgrade to 1g but don't know what to buy or where to buy it. I'm looking for something high quality. Do I need to know what the timing numbers like 2-4-4-2-1 means?
I'd like to get one stick so I can upgrade to 2g in the future if possible. Can I leave one of the 256mb sticks in when I add a 1g stick?
I currently have 2, 256mb, 1Rx16, DDR2, 533mhz, PC2-4200S-444-12.
