2002 Suzuki Hayabusa (The same bike that raped this 850hp Viper Text)
1400cc Big Bore Kit w/NOS
Full Carbon Fiber Kit (weight savings: 70lbs)

Virtual Works Racing:

1993 Toyota Supra
Single Turbo (without NOS)
3650lbs without driver.
That car has dyno'd at over 900 RWHP thru a TH400 tranny with around ~7000 RPM stall.
Geared to top out at 158mph.
8.89 1/4 @ 155mph

Let's post some facts...
The Supra runs High 8's@158 in the quarter mile and dyno'd 900RWHP that weekend. It's geared to only 160~ because of the stock auto rear end and TH400 transmission.
The Busa owner ( Carbon Fiber,255RWHP) claimed he'd beat ANY street Supra from a roll and called Dana and others out (Since he can't drag race which are his own words, in fact I think he ran 11's that weekend at the strip since he's a roadracer with a shortened swingarm). A few Supras accepted but wanted to race for $$$ or at the track which the Busa owner declined, so Dana (Supra in video) and another mildly modified supra raced him. The Video is 1 angle of the result of the race where the Supra edged him out under his own roll on speed.
Also Remember that this is the same Busa that absolutely raped a 850RWHP Levin Supercharged Viper

As most of you would misunderstood.....a 1000+ hp Supra will run more than 12s in a 1/4 mile

Check out suzukihayabusa.org for comments on the race. They (hayabusa members) came over to the supraforums to congratulate and gave our supra credits as not many car can hang with them on the road.

are you sure man? he probably lying to you. Bike insurance doesn't usually cost much at all.

even at full coverage, it's still cheaper than to insure a car with just liability.

It makes sense that insurance is that high though, does it? 17 years old and a damn powerful bike....

Whatever his insurance is, he brings it to school from time to time, that thing is awesome

i'm sure. i'm 23 and the cheapest i could find for full coverage on my 600rr was 4-5k a year. luckly my mom knows someone who knows someone, got it down to 1,200. bike is paid off now, PLPD is only 300 a year, so that isn't bad at all.

Inaccurate. The White Supra from Chicago made an 8-second pass.
What team?

EDIT: I think he meant that it would run less than a 12 second time.

Agreed. I'm 24, and when I was shopping around for insurance on my first bike a couple years back, the cheapest full coverage that I could find was around $3k/year. Liability-only runs somewhere around $250, though, so that's nice.

The car was built by Sound Performance in Bloomingdale, IL. SP is one of, if not the premier import tuning shop in the US.
