92mm vs 90mm case fan - Are these actually the same size?

I know 92 <> 90, but I noticed a lot of places selling 92mm fans and then having 90 listed in the specs and then I will se 90mm fans with 92 listed in the specs. I have a thermaltake tsunami case and I want to replace the side window fan with a stronger one but don't know whether to get a 92mm or 90mm or does it matter? I need the screw holes to line up with the screw holes in the side of the case.

Im not sure, but I think the mounting holes are the same on both. The 92s case is a bit longer width and lenght wise, but the holes are in the same place as the 90.

I do remeber putting a 90 in to replace a 92 and it lined up. But dont bet your life on this as it may not be the norm.

If it doesn't work, you can make it work. 2mm isn't that hard to make fit.

I think they're the same size, and I know that the mounting holes are in the same spot.
