92mm fan

Any suggestions on a 92mm fan to use with a thermalright SLK-900A? It will be used with a OC'd 2500+ at 3200+ speeds (hopefully).

I use a 92mm Panaflo L1A on my SLK-900A.

Keeps the temp on my mobile Barton 2500+ at 46C under load. (11.5x200 @ 1.75V)

I use a Panaflo M1A 92mm on my Swiftech MCX462-V with an Athlon XP 3200+. It keeps it under 40c load. 😀

However there is a bit of an air whoosh noise that I'm going to use a fan controller to get rid of. You won't have this problem with the Panaflo L1A 92mm however because it has 10-15cfm less airflow if memory serves.

Interesting how similar setups yield different results. I have a Panaflo M1A on mine, with a T-bred 2600 underneath. I get 46 degrees myself. Plenty good enough, I guess I expected better. And yes, it's mounted properly 😉

Either way, works quite well for me, 46 is wayyy under anything to be concerned about. The M1A is what I'd recommend unless you are planning on anything hardcore.

Here is some serious airflow should you require it! Warning: Makes lots of noise! 😀

I would prefer to not have to wear earplugs while my PC is on. lol.

I was looking at the Panaflo's, but one site actually said that they were for cases and NOT CPU's.

I love my tornado 92mm...well now that I have a nice fan controller to dial it down. Even at lower speeds, though my CPU (Barton 2500+ @ 223 x 10) never gets above 45 under load. (full speed and it gets down to 40).

if you want one that wont drive you insane, go for the enermax 92mm. pushes around 65cfm at 30db and has a variable speed controller if you dont have a fanbus. i bought one to replace my whiney smart fan 2 and its been great.
