I'm considering upgrading from a prescott to a Cedar Mill, but I have heard that there could be compatibility issues with 925x boards. Does anyone know if a Cedar Mill will run on an Abit AA8 Duramax or 925x boards in general? Any info will be appreciated. Thanks

Thanks, but I should have mentioned that I had seen that. I guess my true question should be: despite Abit not claiming official support has anyone tried or heard of someone who successfully got a Cedar Mill to work on my board or any 925x? I've read articles from the likes of Anandtech, that stated that 925x boards from the period mine was built (mid 2004) have a good chance or working with Cedar Mill. That particular guide doens't look like it was updated for awhile too. I would imagine that even if there was a chance of it working, Abit would be conservative and not list it as compatible if it couldn't guarantee it. As an alternative does anyone know of any retailers that I could try a Cedar Mill then exchange it for another processor if I can't get it to work?
