Does anyone know if a Radeon 9200 or Nvidia 5200 *PCI* with VIVO is being manufactured?

I have been googling but have not found if such an animal exists.

Do a search on Amazon. They're advertising a GF4 Ti4200 PCI w/VIVO for $134 and free shipping. That would perform better than the 9200 or 5200 anyway.

Interesting. I had heard about a pci ti4200, but couldn't find much info on it, and wasn't sure if it really existed.

I wasn't aware that there was a PCI Ti4200. I tried a few Google links, and the only PCI Ti4200 links were for a card made by Jaton. Jaton doesn't list the card in their product list, and most of the PCI Ti4200 links went to AGP Jaton Ti4200's. I'm inclined to think that there was a misprint somewhere, and a few resellers just copied that description without bothering to check to see if it was accurate. Most of the time, you can find newer video cards (or ones meant for niche markets) on Japanese websites before most folks in the US even hear about them, but I was unable to find any mention of a PCI Ti4200 on Japanese site links.

AFAIK, there are not yet any VIVO PCI 9200 or 5200 cards. That's not to say that they don't exist, but you may have to search hard to find one. The best VIVO PCI card that I know of right now is the AIW VE.

Hope that helps.

Same thing happened when I was looking for info--all links led to agp cards and there was no infomation under pci cards on jaton's website. The only reason I'm inclined to believe this is correct is because on amazon somebody placed a review saying it was a great card for those who have a pci mb. So, unless that person knows nothing about computers, it would seem that there is a pci version.

This would be my assumption. I'm probably too trusting of folks when I purchase something on-line, but I would need a little more than a few words written by an unknown reviewer to spend that kind of money on a card that might or might not be PCI, especially when I can't find any other links to one. If I could find even another mention on another independent site, or better yet a picture of one, that would be cool. Hopefully this place has a good return policy if anyone buys the card and ends up getting an AGP version.

That Amazon review is enticing but it just doesn't look accurate. The product name text also says "8x" which only makes sense in the context of AGP.
