9150e for $83, good deal right?

ok so i am thinking of building a computer for my brother which has to last a while. i was going to buy a be-2400 or something, but was offered a 2nd chance offer on ebay for a 9150e for $83 + shipping.


be2400 is $35 ish. Its worth it to ge tthe phenom right?

That is somewhat of a good price as retail price is somewhat inflated. It also only uses 95w which most other quad core phenoms dont do.

I say go for it.

i think its actualy 65 watts . i had thought about going intel, but it seems like, the 780G chipsets are far superior to the intel chipsets in the $55-60 motherboard range, so i am going with amd instead .


i suppose its

9150e + 780G

or something like

e5200 + 945gc.

I am not sure about you, but I would grab a quad over a dual. The AMD Chipset is solid, and the Phenoms are more than enough for 95% of games. Also 65w is a nice feature as well.


Should overclock nicely as well for a Phenom.

780G is so awesome. If you want futureproof, yeah I'd go Phenom.
