Sl55. Finest GT car in the world. And it becomes a vert on the nice days.

911 (the turbo and/or gt2) is somewhat overboard....its too much sport, not enough luxury. For a sporting car, a gt3 is much more appealing in this role....its still no sl55 in terms of refinement.

In regards to topic, I dont think someone in the income category that shops for these cars would be choosing between these two. The 911 is meant as an addition to a luxury car, not as a replacement for one.

For example, a good selection of vehicles for a young couple might be an sl55, a 360, and a range rover.
or for a small family, perhaps an e55, a 911 gt2 and a cayenne turbo.

The porsche. There's still something satisfying about rowing your own, plus I like the challenge of driving a car that handles well, especially those with a rearwards weight bias. Mid or rear engine vehicles are loads of fun. True, not as safe, but fun.

personally I like the porsche simply coz its a porsche... and its such a steal (super car performance at half the price)

I like the sl55 coz its a convertible and a hardtop at the same time.. and its more luxury compared to the porsche..

if I can afford one, I proably will get both!

911 for sure, hell for 120 id take a GT3 personally and keep the extra 20K or so

and haveing personally driven the GT3 and a Turbo i can say that its hard to tell the difference in speed the Turbo is a lil faster but not by much, the GT3 is more comfoortable tho but both are luxurious
