The GT3 never really struck me as a rally car. Cool vid, though.

Really nice! Love that they left the original audio instead of covering up the sweet sounds with some lame music.

What's up with doing donuts? Is it just the rear engine spinning it around? I think the first one (early in vid) the driver did a second spin before taking off.

Interesting that in some areas you can see the counter steer going into the turn (twitch steering opposite direction of turn right before turn).

@15:21 - just blew my mind!

Was that the co-driver?

To the first question, I would say that the driver was a touch too hot coming in to jump on the throttle that early. It was power-oversteer and my guess is that the donuts were the fastest way to correct while fulfilling Subsection C of being a badass rally driver :D.

As for the second question, that was indeed the co-driver at 15:21.

0:39 and 1:24, the sharp 180 turn. Can someone explain what/how he did that? It looks like he somehow locked just the front tires, sweet-talked the rear end into sliding out away from the turn, and then let the fronts roll again.

Probably just looks that way. The car probably doesn't have ABS engaged so possible to lock the wheels, but of course no ideal so he'd be 'pumping' the brakes so to speak to try and find that threshold. He was at times using handbrake to initiate some nice rear end swing-arounds. :)
