Wow... Just wow.

That guy needs to be fucking fired. He needs to be more than fired. I hope she sues him for all he's worth.

6 minutes is a very, very long time when someone is having a medical emergency.

How was she stupid? She should have been able to say "Fuck" every other half-word. The officer should have paid no mind. I'm sure he's heard much, much worse.

She requested an ambulance, that is all that matters. If her father were having a heart attack and died, she would be a millionaire in a few months when the trial and/or suit was over.

Aahahahahahahahaha.

Cops are great at hating on filthy mouth female's, no mercy male or female for the bad mouths.

Don't act like a belligerent prostitute when calling the cops and you'll be ok. That cop shouldn't have to say sh*t if you ask me.

You've got to be fucking kidding me. That officer has no business being in the 911 call center acting like that, he could have cost someone their life. They should be used to and even expect the people calling to be upset, distressed, angry, etc.

alright, we should have a pole.

if your father was 3 weeks out of brain surgery and then fell on the floor with a seizure, who would not use a single curse word from that moment until you knew he was ok?

anyone?

I dont think so.

if I called 911 and said "fuck, I need an ambulance", the least the guy can say is, "man please calmly without cursing explain your problem so we can help you immediately."

hope he gets fired and no one wants to hire him

Didn't sound like she was in distress. Naturally bitchy personality.

'Um, are you going to give me an ambulance or do we have a problem?'

Either way, cop and girl both screwed up.

They both fail. If she was honestly concerned she would of focused and got to the point without the extra dialogue. There is no point for "hi how you doin!?! o gee how was your day? Ok, well here is the situation, its 79* out and im dying of heat - wheew, im in my kitchen in my school clothes for the day and i was just thinking about getting a whopper jr from burger king when I came into the kitchen.. But wait, get this... my father is laying on the floor - like wow-n-stuff, can you believe it!?!?! GOLLY GEE." Imagine what the father would of thought if he could of heard this while being sick on the floor. She was in a way more at fault for wasting her fathers time.

I can feel for the officer being emotionally dead after long hours of that type of job. But god damn, he got waay out of hand. He should of asked what was the problem.

What a complete d!ckhead. She didn't even swear to him and thought the call wasn't going thru when he admonished her. Firing would be a good place to start, then maybe a year in gitmo draped in orange.

When you ask for help, you don't command it then threaten to sue over simple cooperation tactics and information exchange, he's free and clear. I understand police should know when they're dealing with someone not so bright, and that's exactly why the police showed up despite the messy communication.

You can't just call and say SEND AN AMBULANCE; that costs dollars and you've got to state your case before the paramedics go out.

Officer followed through on a disrespectful confrontation, he shouldn't loose his roll as he did his job.

I'm sure six minutes is not grounds for getting fired, they've probably covered up worse.

Uh, you pay for the ambulance if/when they send one... It is not free. Further, my tax dollars are paying for the 911 service. I don't care what she said, he failed.

If you think this clown did his job, I hope you have to call 911 some day and get craptacular service. Outrageous.

I've had to call 911 a few times.. one of those I was pretty panicky and I cussed..

A guy got hit on a bicycle and his leg was fucked up.. broken bones freak me out.. especially when I see it happening and I can't prevent it and I hear the snap. Caught me off guard because I was just watching him ride the bike.. and I saw a car trying to make a yellow light..

The 911 operator just told me to calm down and they're sending an ambulance right away.. I must've said holy shit a bunch of times.. operator did her job. Ambulance got there in maybe ~3 minutes..

Was she wrong? Yes.

BUT... the cop is SUPPOSED to be the professional one here. This is an emergency line. He should NOT act reactionary to fowl language and should FIRST determine if there is an emergency and respond to it.

In short, no matter how fowl mouthed she was, the cop is still wrong. His job is not to be the morality police or manners police. His job when answering 911 calls is to determine if there is an emergency and where to send help.

the guy should loose his job, and the girl should sue for gross neglect, and should sue the police that arrested her for false imprisonment. People who work in emergency services should be able to handle a bit of panicked swearing. The girls dad had collapsed and she was scared, what is the after result of this?

Maybe its time for that officer to retire

That cop is a fucking asshole. He's saying that he couldn't get through to her when he's hanging up after 10 seconds and he never asked what was wrong. Also, wouldn't you think that someone would be frantic when someone is dying right in front of them? He should be fired if not at least suspended without pay.

there's no point in losing a cop who got a bunch of certificate of merits and a clean record in danger just because he took his bad day out on an innocent person he's sworn to protect and serve. he needs to be suspended a month without pay... see how his wife feels about that shit.
