Not sure if there will even be any difference in appearance watching dvds. Is the extra 64 mb worth it?

liteon 16x dvd
lite on 52x cdrw
xp home
40 gb seagate barracuda

Thanks for the input...I haven't had any problems with the 9100s in anyone's pc yet, but I haven't had anyone want to watch dvd before.

If you're not gaming, you can even go for a silent, fanless 9000. All the great video features of the 9100 with zero fan noise. Only half the gaming power though....

Of course, the fanless Radeon 9600 non-pro not only has great gaming power but also is getting additional DivX gains! So far the DivX player (that comes with the codec) supports 9500/9600/9700/9800 cards for better quality DivX.

Good gaming speed, fanless (silent!), and better DivX... I'd go with a 9600 NP if you're an occasional gamer and can afford the little extra.
