90nm or 130nm?

I'm choosing between the two AMD 64 3000+ right now. I know that the 939 chips are new, so their
MBs are more likely to have problems but I also heard the 90nm CPUs are better at OC.

I need this machine basically for computation uses, no games at all, so I need it fast, but also stable.

Can anyone also recommend a good MB? I need about 2G ram on it, and sata raid too.

Thanks!

the 939's aren't really new actually. they've been out for awhile, so their pretty reliable as well as their mobo's. I have to admit I only have a 754 at the moment but that's just cause i bought the 64-bit chips when they first came out and there was no 939. i would go with the amd64 939 processors and whatever mobo you want really. yes, the 90nm cpu's have a better OC than most 130nm(but i've heard some people actually getting higher OC on 130 than some 90nm, possibly just luck).

2G of ram? nice. I don't know if that's gonna help with your computations and what not. i would get the 1gig of ram and upgrade the processor.

Sata raid...Hmm...Unless your working with a lot of large files the raid isn't going to help you much. i use it nonetheless and I will insist that there is a performance increase. just letting you know cause i will bet you a knickel(sp??) that someone will ask you why you want sata raid.
The mobo to look at is DFI if you do decide to go the 754 socket route(i believe that's 130nm). it's best all around and if you EVER decide to do more than just computations later you can. DFI is top notch to me for the 754 right now. For the 939 i can say the Asus A8V(i think it's A8V). that's a good mobo, i always use asus and i've never been dissapointed. good sata chipset as well. the other mobo to look at for 939 is the MSI.

Please anyone feel free to fix anything if I stated something wrong.
