90nm 939 CPUs

I have read a couple of articles saying that the 90nm 939 CPUs will be available the first week of October, but what does this mean for me. What are the advantages of the 90nm CPUs. When intel swirched to 90nm they had all kinds of problems, will these be in the Athlons? Will the Athlon get really hot like the 90nm Intels did? I guess what I'm saying is, do I need to wait a couple of more weeks for one of these chips?
