90mm cpu fan to 90mm case fan conversion

Hello
I'm new to the world of cooling but I am wondering if I can use a cpu fan as a case fan.
this fan:

Cool cat 9cm fan

This fan seems much better than most case fans having a cfm of 52 for a mere 21 dba. Am I missing something that will make this a crappy case fan?

Are there any key things I need for a conversion?

thanks

Get the cool cat here if you do, (fourth one down) free shipping : http://www.aerocooler.com/shop...on=CAT&ccode=FanTT

EDIT: Big whoops! The one I'm showing is 8cm....sorry! They are having some great deals on fans though! They have a regular TT 90mm for $8 shipped at bottom. Are you sure you need a 90mm case fan? Most are 80mm. This one looks pretty good http://www.aerocooler.com/shop...&prod_id=FANTHSMII

I ordered an 80mm Thermaltake for $6 shipped. It arrived fast and comes in the same retail package as Newegg's.......

thanks for the site.
I was looking at 80mm fans too but it seemed like the 90mm fans generally give more cfm for less dba. And out of all the fans i looked for the cool cat seemed like the best but that was a 90mm cpu fan. the zalman was pretty nice to cause its pretty cheap and has a cfm of like 38 at 20 dba but it has a lifespan of about 1/2 of that of the cool cat.

I'm kinda new to cooling. Is cfm the most important thing for how cool a case gets?

CFM is the most important thing as long as your wire/cabling runs are as neat as possible with no obstuctions that impede the air path inside the case. I always make sure to have a clear path from my front intake to the back exhaust. Also, check the heatsinks periodically for dust build up. A good cleaning will minimize heat buildup.

Is the exit hole on your case bigger than 80mm? If not, you may not see the advantage in going to a 90mm fan. The extra CFM comes from the extra 10mm diameter, and even greater when going with a 120mm. You may have to mod your case to a bigger hole...

In have been using a case fan controller that works very well. I minimize fan speed most all of the time for quiet computing but can ramp it up manually when doing processor intensive computing. Best part is, if I forget to turn it up, it is thermally protected and will ramp up automatically.
