90min/800mb CD-R's?

I remember reading about these but I have been unable to find any information about these anywhere. Does anyone know where i can find if my CD-RW drive will handle these cd's and where i can get them? Also i remember hearing about 99min cd's also. I would love to find these because i have a couple of pesky divx movies just a tad too big for 80min/700mb cds.

I have seen some of these extended lenght cd-r disks at my local compUSa.

Don't know where to get them but here's a link with info on which burners support them and info like that.

edit: Wow, noticed they updated their list. Before they only had two models or so that supported even up to 90min. Cool, my Plextor does. I'd like to just have one 99min cd to test it out!

Will these discs play in run of the mill audio cd players and portable cd players? Are they oversized in diameter?

They are not oversized or different in physical size. However, it does say the cds may not work in all cd players or be read properly due to some negative value.

Just a guess but I would say new computer cd-roms and cd-rw's could read most of them ok. When I had these cheap cd-r's my cd-rom would usually read them and play the music fine on the computer but all other cd players (playstation, portable, car) wouldn't play them. I'm guessing they will be like that. I wouldn't trust some important data on them though!

If i can find some next time at my local compusa i might give them a try even thought they arent tested with my CD-RW drive. I have a Sony crx140E. If i did try this is there any harm that could come to my cd drive? I do remember that my drive does support overburn if i am not mistaken, but is there a set amount each one can take, or is it trial and error? Also what is a pretty standard amount of overburn that can be done on 80min cds? I have a divx movie that is 715mb will i be able to get that on an 80min cd?
