I did a search for 900MHz and got nothing, so..

My dad has told me he wants a new cordless phone for xmas. I admit, our 900MHz Sony is dying a terrible death. It's glitchy as hell. I heard that 2.4GHz phones have problems with other wireless devices, so I'm thinking 900MHz is the way to go?

Anyone have any recommendations for *good* cordless phones that are within the, say, $50-200 range?

Preferably w/ answering machine/caller id and some other goodies.

If you have an 802.11b or g wireless network in your house, then everytime someone's on the phone the network will go down.

with a 900MHz phone? I thought that was the 2.4GHz ones?

Our home is all wired with CAT5e and regular phone wire. Nothing wireless but the phones so far.

any cheap decent brand 900-2.4ghz phone is fine. from my experience u don't get all that much more from expensive phones. better to get a buncha cheap ones. that way u can always have one charging. i've found cordless 900mhz for less then 15 dollars many times, thats cheaper then bothering to change the battery:p
