900MHz Duron here I come.

Just ordered me a Duron 650 guaranteed to 900 and an A7V with the dip switches.

Couldn't get on here to see what others use at the time so I've gone with an Alpha PEP66 for cooling - is this any good? How noisy?

http://www.overclockers.co.uk is where I got it from and it seems that their Durons aren't multiplier locked!

That sounds excellent... I wouldn't know about the fan, I don't have an Alpha and never have had one.

So are you using the Duron now or what?

I just got the FOP32++ from http://www.millisec.com and a A7V from http://www.tccomputers.com and a Socket tbird at 800 from http://www.advanceddesign.com Hopefully I get the jumpers and an unlocked bird...only time will tell.

Promise Fasttrak 66 (just single 34GXP at moment)

I'm gonna try using one of my current powetr supplies since I've got 3 lying around. 2x235 and 250. I don't need a 300W supply do I?

I ordered the Asus A7V/ Duron650@900/ Alpha bundle from OcUK too.

So far i'm at 900Mhz at 1.8V and its VERY stable, not a single problem. I haven't tried higher, thought i'd burn it in and 1.8V for the time being.

I agree that OCuk is not the cheapest place but they do give you more info.

Like guaranteeing dipswitches and unlocked Durons. I can't see dabs trying to overclock one for you to see if it's OK!

jaydee Yeah, I'm gonna mount 2 fans onto my voodoo (one either side) and see how much I can squeeze it. I want that new Asus GTS delux card (with video in, video out). Not on Asus' web site yet but http://www.scan.co.uk has them in stock!

Are you in the UK? Dunno why but I always assumed you were american. . .
