hello,


My bro just picked up a Powercolor Radeon 9000 pro, and after he installed the drivers, all of his windows icons turned black, like it only showed the icon masks or something.


Has anyone heard of this problem? or knows how to fix it?

When I have had icon problems (due to many causes, most of which were unknown), what often has fixed them is to delet the file "shelliconcache", which is located in the Windows directory, then restart windows. Windows will then rebuild the file. Give it a shot. BTW, this file is hidden.

Nope, didn't work.

He is running Win98, and the icons are all black.....


i erased the shelliconcache and restarted..... but still the black icons remain.



They have been there since he has installed the card.
